My Sports History

I started playing in 5th grade in the Muskego Chargers football program and continuing playing all the way through high school on the offensive line, primarily at center. Once I got to the IFL, I was pretty much used anywhere that I was needed on the line. I've been in the same offensive system since I've been in pads so moving from one spot to another is an easy transition for me.

I started playing in the IFL my first year after high school so it was pretty intimidating since I was only 18 and playing with all older guys. I was able to adjust pretty quickly to the speed of the game.

The over all speed, agility and skill of the IFL athletes as a whole are much faster than any high school game I was ever a part of. My second season was a very successful one for me by being voted as an all-star at the guard position.

I can go out and just pound on someone and not find myself in jail

This past season ( 2006 ), I shuffled back and forth between the center and guard position. As a team we had our struggles but were still in every game. That will all be ironed out next season and mark my words, the Hitmen will be force to reckoned with. I have enjoyed my time in the IFL so far. I really don’t have any complaints about the league itself, I just like going out and playing football.

The thing I love most about football is the hitting. I love the fact that I can go out and just pound on someone and not find myself in jail after doing so.

I also just like being together with a bunch of guys that all love to play football and have the same ambition for this great sport as I do.

As long as the Hitmen are around, I’ll keep coming back.

I think my drive for wanting to succeed and win championships will keep me coming back. I consider the Hitmen to be the best organization in the league to be a part of and as long as the Hitmen are around, I’ll keep coming back.

The best memory I have so far is winning the IFL championship my first season playing in the league. It was a great feeling coming to a team where everyone cared about the team and would do anything to win.

The Player

Since I am not the biggest guy, I need to rely on my technique. I had a lot of good coaches through my career that taught me great technique. I use my explosiveness off the ball to get inside of the defender and it’s pretty much over after that.

As quoted by Jason Huckstorf, former league mvp and all-star linebacker for the hitmen,” If Butter gets inside on you, it’s all over, you’re beat.”

The gym is definitely my second home when the off-season comes around. I love lifting and knowing that I am doing my part to help better the team. I also find myself doing different agility drills such as ladders and hurdles.

If Butter gets inside you, It's all over!

I love the fact that I know the snap count and can fire off the ball faster than the defensive linemen. I think my favorite part about being a guard is getting to pull and dominate unsuspecting defensive ends and linebackers.

I will continue to be a part of the Hitmen as long as possible. Since I am only 21, I have many more years to play and still be effective. I plan on winning at least 3 more championships before I am done, and see no reason why this would not be achieved.

The championships are must for me, anything else that might be obtained over my years playing such as all-star awards would be great but not as important to me as a championship would be.

"Butter" has been a fixture on the Muskego Hitmen offensive line. A selfless player whose sole purpose in this league is to win. A player who understands that winning is not a one man mission, but something that requires a collective effort from everyone on the squad. Watch for butter in the coming years as he flattens defenders twice his size.
